Ibet Speaks!

We have started a new year and so far it has been tough on me! I know for a fact that it will get better! Its only day two right!
I have to say 2010 was not that bad of a year.  I am thankful that God let me live one more year.  When 2010 started I had no idea that I would be living in Ecuador or that I would be among such incredible people.
I want to thank God for the great opportunity He has given me.  He has been good to me.  I really feel blessed! Only He knows what is best for me and that is why He sent me to Ecuador.
We have been blessed in every way. When we first arrived to Shell we started a wish list. A list of things we needed and wished we would have. I am so happy to say that God loves us so much we have started a new wish list!  As the weeks went by the list would get smaller.  How amazing is that!
I’ve met so many people on this journey!  I’ve made lots of friends. I am learning that being a missionary is tough literally! In December (last month) 10 of my friends left, and this month already 3 have left.  Its sad because you become one family, and slowly this family disintegrates and the ones left behind become stronger and more united.  The same way people leave, people join the family and we have to start all over again.  I’ve learned not to be tooooo attached to people because GOODBYES HURT!!!  Yes they hurt! It hurts because there is a big possibility that you will never see that person again or even talk to them.  What can I say that’s the way life is.  Right? Right!
Well I hope this year gets better.  I hope to learn more from a really good teacher. Did I forget to tell you I am blessed to have a great teacher!  Stanley Pletcher is very patient and God bless him for that!  How lucky am I to work with him! Speaking about the Pletchers, AMAZING family!  I enjoy every single member of that family.  I feel like I fit in very well!
Over all I am very thankful that the Lord has given me the opportunity to experience the beauty of serving Him.  I know He has a plan for me and that His plan is perfect.  I know He is not finished with me!
Thank you all for the prayers, God knows that I really need them.  It gets hard when you are all alone away from your home and the closes thing you have to your family is a family you met and talked to a few times. Please keep praying for me. Please!  There are times when I feel like quitting, but usually when that happens a super duper case comes in the office and that reminds me I am needed here. My daddy would always say prayers would move mountains, and I always believed him. So once again please pray for me and my family (and my Ecuadorian Family)
I love you all and God bless you
xoxo
